Experience the magic of Venice, which has inspired artists for centuries. Our 7day painting holiday will encompass the famous sights of this magnificent, historical city, with 5 days painting and sketching tuition for all levels, and in all media ( demonstrations will be in watercolour) giving you enough free time to explore this fascinating city at your leisure for the remainder of the time.

Our base for the holiday is an elegantly furnished, historical superior 3 star hotel which overlooks a small canal on a quiet square a very short walk from St marks square and all the important landmarks of Venice.

The city of Venice, undoubtably the worlds most beautiful city, houses some of the most important artworks known to man, and along with its turbulent and fascinating history and unique architecture, it has to be THE artists dream with a painting at every turn! The entire city is based along a labyrinth of small canals and streets, and we are lucky enough to be based between The Grand Canal and St Marks Square for our stay, where the true spirit and vibrancy of Venice can be viewed at its very best.

If you would like us to help you arrange your flights to Marco Polo Airport, Venice, please contact us. Reasonably priced Water Buses (approx 10eu) are available throughout the day from the airport to St Marks square. Tickets are available in the airport arrivals hall. Private water taxis are also available from the quay outside the airport arrivals hall at an approximate cost of 80euros.

TUSCANY
July 3rd - July 10th 2005

Our 7 day painting holiday will encompass the very best the region has to offer painters and non-painters alike, with trips to local by towns such as Pienza, Montalcini, Siena and magnificent Florence. We will paint around the estate with its private chapel, landscaped gardens, historic buildings and stunning vistas and paint the same rolling hills and farmhouses surrounded by fields of corn nearby in
which Ridley Scott chose to set his epic film 'Gladiator'.

We have chosen for our base the beautiful 16th century vineyard and estate of Trequanda which lies in the heart of Tuscany, and has been the seat of the Colombini family and producing wines for over 400 years. Award winning Chianti wines, olive oil and white truffles have all been produced here in harmony with nature for centuries.
Guests to the vineyard will instantly feel the magic and history of this ancient home, where in the 18th century, the Grand Duke of Tuscany made his secret love-nest and his bed chamber can still be visited.

The medieval winery is on 4 floors, following an underground path one reaches the area where the wines are produced and the delicious vin santo is aged in the loft area. Italian hospitality, delicious home cooked Tuscan food using the freshest local produce and great Tuscan wines, all with a back-drop of the most breathtaking scenery from the terraces and from the 2 lovely swimming pools will make your stay here unforgettable.

For non painters we can offer courses in cookery ( in the kitchens ), wine tours and tasting, hiking tours, nature trails and visits to hot springs with massage and remedial therapies available. Designer shopping trips( Prada/ Dolce and Gabbana outlets) can also be arranged.

Accomodation is in charming twin/double rooms with private sitting area and en-suite facilities.

There is a tennis court and both table tennis, snooker and mountain bikes are available to guests. There are also 3 designated walking routes to the nearby village.(3km)
